New website, new web server. How exciting! It was quite the process I tell ya! I didn’t want to have to pay some place the $10/month for basic webhosting when I knew I could do it myself and get way more value. I encounter this phenomenon often — things are just priced too high to get someone else to do things for me, so I have to do it myself. I learn a lot in the process though. Imagine what it would be like to be so wealthy you can just pay for everything you want and so imagine always having experts at your disposal!
What is RKO2? Its my initials, and the number 2. Why the number 2? Rko.ca was taken. I had used .ca in the beginning, but then switched to rko2.xyz because it was less money than .ca, .com, .net, .org. And I like what they represent.
I think that’s pretty cool! Domains are all categorized: .com = commercial, .net = network, .ca = Canada, .au = Australia, etc. And since RKO2 is into a little bit of this and a little bit of that and for anybody who’s interested, its neat that this exists. So what is RKO2? What is going to be on this website?
RKO2 initially was going to be for fundraising. I wanted to raise money to help combat homelessness, addictions, and mental health. I had been going door to door with a different organization, but I really didn’t agree with how they handled the money. There were a lot of problems there. Still. When it comes to homelessness, addictions, and mental health, I can point out a whole lot about it that needs attention. So I am going to do something about it. I am going to reach out and ask for help from our community. I am going to do it a little different. I want to be crystal clear about how I am using the donations, and I want to share the experience too. Every campaign will be documented online and too the progress. I think it will be awesome. So there is that. There’s more though..
Fundraising is great and I know people are compassionate and generous. I want to help too, and I can. All other products and services offered by RKO2 will be profit sharing with its fund. What products and services?
- Affiliate Marketing
- Buy and Sell – Flipping Goods
- Cloud Storage
- Helpdesk
- High Speed Internet
- Photos and Videos Archiving
RKO2 will be an umbrella management company for other businesses. Friends who are masters of their trades. I am going to give them an online presence, and look after their books. Advertising, customer service, human resources. This kind of stuff.
I know, I know. Its a lot. And its most likely far too much for just one guy. I agree. And I am pretty excited about that too! This means its going to BE more than me.
I know this isn’t a super good explanation or whatever, and that’s OK. I just wanted to post something.
The future is family.
